Southern Fleurieu Positive Ageing Task Force

Top level Community Health Services Positive Ageing Project

The Southern Fleurieu Health Service, local GP’s, local government agencies, private nursing providers and consumers and the respective state and commonwealth departments of aged care have combined to form the Southern Fleurieu Positive Ageing Taskforce.

The purpose of the taskforce is to ensure the equitable and coordinated delivery of services to ageing community members and their carers living in the Southern Fleurieu sub region. The taskforce is guided by the Southern Fleurieu ten year strategic plan for aged care services which was launched in 1999.

Current priorities for the taskforce include the promotion of a coordinated care model, a quality framework for aged care services and a workforce development package for workers in the aged care sector.

The taskforce welcomes comment and participation of clients and carers and meets every two months at different venues across the region.
