Drugs and Alcohol Service

A Drug and Alcohol Outreach Worker provides a free and confidential service to individuals and the community in relation to drug and alcohol issues. The services offered are for people with alcohol and other drug problems, families and community groups.

There are a range of client based services, which include:
* Assessment
* Counselling
* Referral
* Advocacy
* Home visits
* Telephone counseling
* Assistance for health, welfare, educational and support agencies
- consultation
- joint case management
- case conferencing
- education and training
The service also provides a range of health promotion activities for community groups and other health agencies including:
* Alcohol and drug information
* Displays
* Screening
* Community needs assessment
* Peer educator programs
* Community education
* Programs for at risk groups
* Support and assist communities or groups to take action
