The Aboriginal Health Team of Southern Fleurieu Health Service is involved in supporting the local Aboriginal Community by:

Services are offered as part of the SFHS programs, however culturally specific services and counselling are offered in the following areas;

* Early childhood resources and information

* Supporting children and parents in the local schools through language maintenance classes

* Health Information

* Advocacy for parents / caregivers for learning behaviour unit on South Coast

* Home Visits for local families

* Youth activities

* High school / schools liaison

* Cultural awareness on Aboriginal issues

* Proposal for Women's healing and well being group

* Exercise classes for Nunga Communities - Winmum yuntawarin

* Community Nunga Cooking classes

* Referrals for Mental Health, Women's counselling, drug and alcohol

* Advocacy for housing issues—vacant houses maintenance

* Letters of support re housing, court appearances

* Bashams Beach regeneration project

* Transport
